US Army ID Tag enscribed 'Melvin Reynolds', ID number 34637415; 'T43' (Tetanus vaccination 1943); 'O' blood type; 'P' (Protestant). Melvin was born in Arkansas on 2 January 1924, and registered with the WWII draft board on 30 June 1942; he was listed as living in San Diego, California and was employed there by the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation (makers of the B-24 heavy bomber). He was 5' 10 1/2" tall and weighed 200 pounds. He had black hair, hazel eyes and a 'ruddy' complexion. He was drafted and entered the service on 8 July 1943 from Camp Shelby, Mississippi. He was inducted as a Private; he had three years of high school education, was single, without dependents and his civilian occupation was listed as: 'Unskilled occupations in building of aircraft, n.e.c.'. He passed away in Arizona on 24 September 2007.
